Trussardi Casa

Trussardi Casa

The new Trussardi Casa collection offers up a dynamic contemporary setting conveying a sense of family and well-being. Blackshaw Interior Design is now offering a complete selection of the latest Trussardi Casa collection of furniture and accessories, inspired by Milanese abodes and conceived for warm and richly styled homes.

The interior design collection is imbued with the refinement that is rooted in all Italian design and culture, spanning three generations with their history, travel, past and future outlook. Furniture, carpets and accessories, for both day and night, are outlined with modern contours and remain faithful to nonchalant elegance of the brand’s Greyhound campaign.

The collection is designed by architect Carlo Colombo who harmoniously matched materials and colours. Customised soft leather, Trussardi’s principal material, comes in various thicknesses, combining cotton, velvet and chenille fabrics. Add to this the essence of wenge dyed oak, eucalyptus, Canaletto walnut and solid oak details are combined with elegant Emperador Dark and Carrara marble. Metals in fluid and playful lines are forged in gunmetal and brushed bronze finishes.

The collection is characterised by the use of precious materials and extraordinary craftsmanship that belongs to a bygone era, making these unique authentic high level objects of beauty. Colours are natural and warm, from Cognac to sand with accents of cocoa, petroleum, air force blue, ecru shades with a hint of cherry and green for the outdoor upholstery. Decorative themes play with soft and powdery shades of blue mixed with scales of light greys.

Nueva Andalucia

Nueva Andalucia

This kind of work is exactly what we are used to, taking it apart and putting it back together again. We are experts in this line of work, most of the residential projects we work on are along these lines, and we are become well known for it. Delivering on time with a trusted team, providing all of the skills needed to give the clients exactly what they have in mind. A project Like this would probably start off with a design fee involved to enable our design team to make a complete design study. It involves a lot of hours of drawings plans, offering 2D and 3D options. A complete process in required before we can even start to reach the final designs. Once the clients are happy with schemes we have put together along with the complete construction and furnishing quotes we can get to work. This also includes our project management, putting together the contractor team, and negotiating entirely for the client on their behalf throughout.

This particular project took approximately 4 months from start to finish. The villa was in need of complete modernization for an English families second home in the heart of the Golf Valley Nueva Andalucía. The once loved chintzy pelmets, and beige bathroom suites were not to their liking or ours for that matter. We were going for our usual home from home feel, updated contemporary and welcoming.

We redesigned and enlarged the swimming pool, making the pool stairs and aqua (effect with white tiles) colored water the first things you see on your approach down the stairs, through the double doors into the lounge. We notice all of the things to accentuate to make the most of the villa.

The other most important thing is curb appeal. We want you to look like the best house on the street, the one everyone’s talking about. The curved wall, and overgrown shrubs were just too much. We wanted straight lines, saying this house is taken care of, strong and secure, with huge wooden and chrome sliding gates to replace the old iron ones. Up and down contemporary lights finish off the streamlined look.

Other construction details included making the whole interior shared living space open plan, but cleverly giving each section its identity. The log burning 3 sided fire which can be enjoyed from all angles ties the space together.

There really isn’t one piece of the house which hasn’t been replaced or at least given some though to. Obviously the clients are rest assured that they have brand new electrical, plumbing, under floor heating, air-conditioning throughout, all the latest technology. We chose porcelain wood effect flooring, which is homely and easy to maintain. PVC windows, secure, made from sustainable materials, and the best insulation systems. Ceiling design also plays a really important role in our projects, is enables us to hide A/C ducting, and also create great lighting effects, with drop ceilings for LED spotlights, and recessed LED lighting effects all on dimmers. In the bathrooms and kitchen we can also create ambiance lighting effects with LED behind mirrors and under units, counters. It really is a cost effective way of making a difference.

The furnishings are all coordinated to fit in with the style of the new house, with lots of communication between ourselves and the clients. Accents colors, luxury silks and velvets, against cool lacquers and dark black or grey oak wood. We buy furniture from all over the world, and if we can’t find what we are looking for we make it. With years of experience working with brands and manufacturers we know who to rely on for quality, cost and deadlines. All of our soft furnishings are made on site, so we really can control the quality and make design decisions quickly.

We find all of our clients use our kind of complete construction to furnishing service, as we really do offer everything from each end of the spectrum. All they do is deal with one company, Blackshaw Interior design takes on all of the responsibility so they don’t have to. We understand their need for quality and service as they are always busy business people, or do not live full time in the country. Adding immediate value to both your property either for investment or living, and also your lifestyle.

If you have a renovation or furnishing project you would like us to take a look at, residential, commercial or other, we would be really interested to meet you and discuss exactly what you need.

El Paraiso

El Paraiso

Mansion based in the hills of Mijas, needed some updating of finishes and completely furnishing. Minor construction work involved included our box ceilings and much loved lighting designs, improving the overall effect in the main rooms.

We redesigned and installed the kitchen. Now it is more lighter and brighter and more practical than before. Using metallic wood grain, mixed with jute Laquer cabinets and white krion work tops.

The master bathroom needed better planned space and updating of fixtures giving it a more grand look and feel. With our bespoke carpentry and ambience lighting with LEDs around the mirror and unit, creating a soft feel.

Furnishing in the lounge and redesign the fireplace wall again with our bespoke carpentry and design. Box ceilings and symmetrical layout with luxurious velvet sofas, and silk sheers to finish off the look.

We redesigned the basement layout and added a games room/ gym. We love the wave wall we installed with Colour changing lighting give a really fun modern look. We placed light oil wooden laminate flooring throughout. This flooring has a special cork backing especially for sound and impact perfect for these spaces,

Pure Skin Boutique & Spa

Pure Skin Boutique & Spa

Blackshaw interior design is delighted to present Pure Skin Boutique Spa. This was a very special project requiring equal amounts of glamour and warmth to deliver a sense of indulgence and exclusivity to reflect the high end treatments, whilst conveying this luxury beauty spa’s eco-friendly credentials and holistic approach to well-being and beauty.

Pure Skin Boutique Spa located on Marbella’s Golden Mile is the perfect example of how to achieve synergy between high end interior design and functionality. This particular retail interior design project in Marbella required a contemporary interior design that would be both welcoming and exclusive, providing a sanctuary that would make each every customer feel special and relaxed.

Retail interior designs need a specific concept. All elements were careful considered to project the right balance of well-being and luxury.  This was achieved on several levels: firstly the palette of nude and gold instantly suggests warmth, protection and glamour, whilst the curved walls are reminiscent of the human form and the solid wood floors deliver an organic feel.  Decadent accents such as gold shelves in the reception and delicate glitter filled lamps in the treatment rooms add instant allure and charisma.

Ristorante Il Tartufo

Ristorante Il Tartufo

We enjoyed working on the new interior design for Ristorante Il Tartufo in Marbella’s Old Town. Our brief was to create a new interior design including a new kitchen, private dining room and an elevated up to the newly acquired upper floor. Mindful of the restaurant’s iconic status amongst its regulars, we delivered an over cosy yet contemporary look in keeping with the style of food, location and the owners personalities.

This much loved traditional Italian restaurant in Marbella’s Old Town required a brand new interior design which included creating a brand new open plan kitchen, private dining room and an elevator to the additional space on the upper floor. Taking into account restaurant’s beautiful location in Marbella’s picturesque Old Town, architecture and its famed patio overlooking the Church Square, we created a rustic interior with modern details.

As with all successful retail interior designs (in Marbella or any other location) it is essential to make sure that the space fits the business. In this case it was achieved by delivering a design sympathetic to the expectations of the customers, in keeping with the location and also the traditional Italian cuisine served in the restaurant.

Working closely with the owners Emanuele and Hollie, got a feel for their customers, cuisine and their vision. The contrast of the majestic antique wooden door, iron lamps and wooden menus, against the cracked silver walls, contemporary furnishings, modern art and neutral palette, created the perfect cosy atmosphere with a contemporary feel. We added to this a number of important yet quirky accents, such as the glass panel cork art work and gilt lion’s head tap in the bathroom or eclectic display of wine bottles, glasses and books. In addition to the architectural and interior design elements of the project, all of the work was undertaken by our in-house team of electricians, plumbers and kitchens, ensuring the best possible results for the client.
